2026 National Fresenius Award to Austin Evans, University of Florida

The 2026 National Fresenius Award recipient is Professor Austin Evans of the University of Florida. Research in the Evans lab focuses on creating new types of defined macromolecular structures by combining synthetic organic chemistry, supramolecular interactions, and advanced processing methods. Through this approach, the Evans lab controls nano- to microscale polymer structure simultaneously. They invent technologies that leverage this higher-order polymer structure to address critical global challenges in energy, environmental, and electronic applications. More information about this year’s ACS National Award winners can be found at C&EN.
